Description

28 July 2018:  Sunday lunch is a much-loved global institution: relaxed, slow and a time to catch up with friends or family over good yet similarly relaxed food. Ruth’s winter Sunday lunch class has a Spanish accent recalling the best chicken dish she has ever tasted and reflecting her memories of good times both working and on holiday in Spain. It’s one of her favourite cuisines and she believes it translates well to a Kiwi setting.

A Spanish lunch typically includes several courses, but not necessarily tapas (small dishes) style. Because this is Ruth’s lunch, she can bend a few rules and include a line-up of the dishes, tastes and flavours that she loves to eat and share.

So while she can’t bring Spanish sunshine to Te Horo, Ruth can certainly bring robust flavours, mouth- and heart-warming dishes and a rustic elegance to the table. Not to mention a few stories of people, places, food and the time in Valencia and other Spanish travels.
