When Ruth last spent time in Manhattan there was 1.5 million people and apparently as many places to eat. Crammed into 23 square miles Manhattan, a borough of New York, is the complete foodie heaven.

Join Ruth for her culinary exploration of this unique place. We will explore recipes and ideas Ruth has scrounged on her travels from some amazing fellow-foodies. Caterer Serena Bass is already world-famous in New Zealand for her Cheating Chocolate and Lemon Curd Cakes, She has been very generous over the years sharing her fabulous food that even world-weary Manhattan socialites love. I’ll tell you about bartenders in black-rimmed glasses, bagels, bakeries, bergamot and browned butter.

We will eat like Presidents and you will be able to go home and do it for your friends and family, with typically New York panache. And remember a Classic Manhattan is Always Stirred Never Shaken.

Cancellations:

If any 2021 Class or Special Event dates are not able to proceed due to Covid-19 we would try first to reschedule you to a suitable date. Should no suitable dates be available we will give you a gift voucher for the full value which can be used in our Kitchen Shop and online or for a future class. If preferred we would arrange a full refund. Classes and events are otherwise non-refundable.
