The Garden Room connected to the Ruth Pretty Kitchen Shop is perfect for informal lunches and high teas for up to 50 guests.

We have a range of options for group visits to the Garden Room. We host many Probus, travel, garden or retirement groups to this conservatory area on week days.

Below are some sample programmes we have designed, but our team are more than happy to work with you to organise a day specifically for your group. Please phone or email events@ruthpretty.co.nz for further information.

Please note there is no venue hire for the Garden Room as it is open to the public.  



Coffee and Cake


For a quick visit (perhaps on the way to another destination) give your group the chance to explore the Ruth Pretty Kitchen Shop. We provide a range of espresso coffee, loose leaf teas, or herbal infusion along with freshly baked cake or pastry.

We ask that groups larger than ten book in advance. We only accept one payment on the day.

Price: $6.00 (including GST) per guest.

   

Morning/Afternoon Tea

If you would like more substantial food items for your group we can include with prior arrangement a savoury item along with coffee and cake.

Price: $10.00 (including GST) per guest.

    

Soup of the Day

Includes soup of the day, warm cheese scone, a sweet item from the Kitchen Shop and espresso coffee/tea. Minimum 10 guests. 

Must be booked in advance 

Price: $20.00 (including GST) per guest

    

Light Lunch

There is a minimum of 10 guests required for this event. If you wish wine can be available. Must be booked in advance. .

11.30am           Guests arrive at Springfield and welcomed by Ruth Pretty staff. Guests enjoy looking at Ruth Pretty Kitchen Shop. 

12.00pm         Guests are seated in Garden Room and served Lavender Lemonade.               

Light lunch served followed by espresso and tea

1.30pm       Guests depart Springfield (provisional time)

11.00am              Guests arrive at Springfield and are seated in the garden room for high tea accompanied with espresso and tea  

1.00pm             Guests are free to spend time in the Kitchen Shop                            

1.30pm                 Guests depart Springfield (provisional time)

Price: $50.00 per guest (including GST). Wine is available if you wish.
