Description
Produced in honour of Richard Riddiford (1950–2016), the company's founding managing director, the 2016 vintage (5*) is rare – only 500 bottles exist. Grown in the original Om Santi Vineyard, it was fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques (20 per cent new), oak-aged for 18 months, given a full, softening malolactic fermentation, and bottled unfiltered. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a full-bodied, slightly creamy wine with concentrated, peachy, slightly toasty flavours, showing excellent vigour, delicacy, harmony and length.
