In June if you are not lucky enough to be attending Lions matches in person you may be planning on inviting relations and friends around to your house, or a holiday house, and watching games live on the big screen. Make a big night of it with a sensational dinner at home prepared by Ruth Pretty and her team at their base in Te Horo, and final execution by you in your home.  We promise we won’t tell your guests that the Ruth Pretty team prepared and delivered your banquet. If you would like plates or glasses, cutlery or linen we can show you a list for this also. Bonus in hiring tableware from us is that we collect it unwashed.

“ I had the pleasure of a mystery weekend with a group of friends, staying at Raumati. Friday night we had our evening meal catered by Ruth and the team. It turned up with everything that goes with a meal. Sauces, napkins, cutlery you name it, it was there. Instructions on how to cook and serve these dishes. Attention to detail 10/10, quality of food 10/10, flavour to die for 10/10. We had so much food that no one could eat dessert that night so we saved it for after the rugby game the next night. We then got online to see if recipes were available and found Ruth has a shop, so detour on way home to Tauranga. Items were purchased along with Ruth's cook book and I had the pleasure of meeting Ruth and she signed it for me. I will be back and will be looking to do a class next time.”


This may be the occasion to step into some serious wine. Email paul@ruthpretty.co.nz for an aged and very special wine list from our cellar. If you wish, specify your favourite varietals and New Zealand vineyards. For example “ I would love a bottle of Ata Rangi 2009 Pinot Noir with that beef.”
