14 JULY 2018: Wellington based French chef Laurent Loudeac is celebrating Bastille Day in New Zealand with a stylish totally French class at Springfield. It may be wintry outside but the welcome and the food - and dare we say Laurent’s charm? - will certainly warm you. Previous participants tell us they often use his recipes, especially his ‘go-to-gratin’, and his classes sell out (so decide promptly).
Laurent’s menu reflects traditional French cuisine, with all its flair and deliciousness, plus his international travels, modern influences and that commitment to fabulous flavours that is inherently French but still contemporary.
Executive Chef at Wellington’s impressive QT Museum Hotel (formerly the Museum Art Hotel), Laurent has created a destination restaurant in Hippopotamus. He blends traditional and modern tastes and techniques so that it’s hard to choose and everything is both clever and delicieux.
