Description
WED 9 OCT 2019. Because Ruth learned to cook at a young age, she believes every Kid should feel at home in the Kitchen. Most Kids start by helping Mum (or Dad) with the basics, and then are ready to spread their culinary wings a little.
The Kids in Ruth’s Kitchen are well-supervised by her chefs, wrapped up in aprons and shown how to handle the equipment properly. Parental chauffeurs are invited for morning tea beforehand in the sunny Garden Room.
For 10-13 year olds, who by now understand there are sandwiches (boring) and Sandwiches (interesting and delicious). They will explore variations on the sandwich theme, including sturdy wraps and precise club sandwiches, and how to choose the right filling.
They will discover the simple joy of a perfectly cheesy croque monsieur. School lunches may never be the same, and with luck they will want to make their own.
Wednesday 9 October 2019
