Description

21 APR 2018: Any event that starts with a martini is A Good Thing, right?  The world is currently enjoying a gin explosion, and with local experts Lori Asquith and Adriaan Mathijs Voorn, Ruth will bring you right up to the minute with all things gin. And tonic.

You will explore a selection of top-shelf gins, each with their own flair and botanical signatures, and the food to accompany such intricate flavour combinations.  R18.

Lori’s hospitality credentials include front of house at Wellington’s beloved Floriditas, event management and donning chef whites, and she’s now an account manager for Federal Merchants specialising in premium spirits. She says this has “revealed an avid love of gin, its history and its never-ending incarnate forms”.

Adrian is a Southern Californian local grown and raised in the hospitality scene with over eight years in experience in four different countries, ranging from small cafes to bustling bars. Recognised internationally through magazines, newspapers and award winning venues has built an experience to host multiple ranges of events. If he ins't behind the bar, time is taken up by experimenting cocktails, hosting classes and tasting events."

Ruth promises an innovative 4 hours of gin, tonic and food. You will explore complementary and contrasting tastes of gin and different foods; concluding with expert advice about how to create perfect gin cocktails.  Cheers!
