SATURDAY 30 JULY 2016: Claire has that rare ability to “make the ordinary extraordinary”, through encouraging New Zealanders to embrace a world of home cooking by creating recipes that are both accessible and inspirational. Her concept of a ‘shared winter table’ typifies this philosophy, and without giving away too many of her secrets her menu includes delectable items and a range of accompaniments to share, which builds up a helpful, reasonably healthy and achievable repertoire. Will her last sweet bite qualify as healthy? Not so much.
Claire’s creativity and down to earth yet lively personality makes her a popular presenter. Her skill and commitment was central to Dish being named Best Home and Food Magazine at the Magazine Media Awards in 2015.
