For groups of 16 to 40 guests

Great for those competitive groups. In these classes everyone prepares the same dish, and there is competition. A Ruth Pretty chef demonstrates the skills involved, then your team is divided into groups to prepare the main component of the lunch or dinner.  

Suggested Programme 
11.00am Guests arrive at Springfield House Morning tea (to include espresso) is served
11.30am Interactive class begins. This is held in the farmhouse kitchen at Ruth and Paul’s home Our chefs to work with your group to prepare lunch
1.00pm Pre-lunch drinks and passarounds are served
1.30pm Seated for lunch in the sitting room of the house or outside in the garden if the weather is nice
3.30pm Estimated conclusion and guest departure
Guests will be divided into teams and their skills will then be put to the test.

A competition with prizes awarded for;
-Best Presentation
-Team Who Had the Most Fun
-And of course "1st place”

Price: $150.00 (exlcuding GST) per guest

We can organise prizes from our Kitchen Shop to suit your price range.


This price includes exclusive use of the Springfield House and Kitchen, a full set of recipes for guests to take home and Lunch with Cook-off led by Ruth Pretty Catering Chefs.

Price excludes wine and beer. With your proposal we will show you a range of beverages to choose from.
