Flavours of New Zealand

Designed with international guests in mind this class is designed to showcase premium New Zealand food products with simple cooking techniques and contemporary presentation. Guests can relax and enjoy hospitality in the ambience of a private house and garden.


Suggested Programme:

  • 10.00am - Guests arrive and are greeted by their host Ruth Pretty who takes them on a tour of Ruth Pretty Catering kitchens, herb and salad gardens and Kitchen Shop.
  • 10.15am - Ruth and guests move to Springfield house where a demonstration kitchen has been set up in Ruth and Paul’s personal kitchen.  Guests watch as Ruth and chefs discuss New Zealand food and wine and demonstrate the menu.  If guests wish chefs will ask guests to work with them.
  • 12.15pm - Guests move to dining area in Ruth and Paul’s house to enjoy the food and wine.  In summer there is the option for tables in the garden.
  • 2.00pm - Guests depart.
