Description

WEDNESDAY 15 JULY

Making bread is an essential life skill and hopefully our class will begin the students’ journeys as we concentrate on simple but beautiful breads. Participants will enjoy a hearty lunch and as per kids’ class tradition RPC ice cream and chocolate fountain will abound.

Did you know that not only the kids – all wrapped up in our aprons, endearingly usually several sizes too large – love these classes, but so do our staff?  The noise and excitement levels are high as our would-be bakers get right into the swing of the thing. The deal is that Ruth with our baker John will show 8-13-year olds what to do, give them an apron and let them at it, with a patient guiding hand where needed. We love hearing “I can do it!” and the sense of achievement our mini-sized chefs get is heart-warming. We will send them home with samples of their work, and recipes, so the next generation of home bakers is happy and competent. An important life skill, delivered with fun and anticipation. We supply everything.

Remember parent chauffeurs can join morning tea from 9.45am before leaving young chefs to get their aprons grubby and have the time of their lives.
