Puddings are one of our favourite parts of traditional Christmas fare. Ruth Pretty brings you this really tasty Christmas pudding, not too heavy, not too light. Dried fruit macerated in brandy, with citrus flavours added to provide contrast.

450g = 4 -6 serves

750g = 6-8 serves

When heated the outside of the pudding goes ever so slightly toffeeish. Serve warm with lashings of whipped cream. Custard and/or ice cream are wonderful accompaniments. Check out Ruth's Brandy Custard recipe here

Packaging:

Puddings are packed in a plastic bowl with a lid, the bowl is decoratively wrapped in white muslin and tied with satin ribbon, ready to go straight under the tree or to your lucky recipient. (Heating instructions are on the bowl)

Microwave: Remove lid. Microwave on high for 5 minutes. Leave to stand for a further 5 minutes.

Steaming: Leave lid on bowl. Fill a saucepan with approximately 40mm of hot water. Place bowl in water, cover pan and bring to the boil. Steam for 40 minutes. Do not let the pan boil dry.
