Cooking up a storm for colleagues
The group of 75 were mostly couples who owned Daikin air conditioning and heat pump dealership businesses, concluding a three day working conference. After a light lunch the group opting for cook school and catering donned aprons and set to work. And no, they were not all women.
"Each year the group goes to a different location, so it was great to do something unique to the Wellington region,” reported Melissa.
"After tossing various ideas around with Ruth, we decided it would be even better if during the cooking school participants actually cooked for the cocktail function.
"We had a wonderful day, the setting and weather was perfect. Everyone really enjoyed the day, both the cooking school and the cocktail function. It was a great event for Daikin and their dealers, and we look forward to working with Ruth again another time,” she concluded.
Participants went home with recipes for everything from passarounds like Honey Cones with Whipped Goat's Cheese and Dukkah and Caramelised Chilli Almonds to pizza variations and those little White Chocolate and Blackcurrant Crème Brûlées that no-one can ever resist.
Importantly, they got tips tricks and reassurance from Ruth's chefs, so hopefully they will go on cooking up a storm for friends and family back home.
